US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 339K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 16K last week to a seasonally adjusted 332K in the week ended April 19, below expectations at 351K and coming from 355K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 93K to a seasonally adjusted 3.0 million in the week ended April 13 vs. 3.093 million in the previous week (revised).
